Aftersnowfalls
Aftersnowfalls was created in 2004 from the meeting of the artists Henry Osei Akoto, a performer from the funk scene, and Louis Arlette, a musician and sound engineer (engaged by the group Air since 2007).
In the years since its formation, the joint venture has fused diverse talents into an original ensemble, with Henry as the singer and Louis manning the electro-acoustic orchestra, the synthesiser, the electronic violin, and the beatbox.
The colour of the duo’s latest endeavour owes much to the contributions of fellow artists, on the bass Christophe Borilla, on the drums Emmanuel Riquier , and on the electric guitar Jocelyn Dupuis. Vocalists and a section of saxophonists add their touch to the richness of the work. The suppleness of the group’s composition amplifies creative possibilities and permits the scaling of the music to diverse venues.
Aftersnowfalls has its own recording studio in Paris, Le Bruit Blanc, equipped with modular synthesisers, Fender Rhodes, hammond organ and analog tape recoders.
